Bringing Nature into the Boardroom.

Nature in the Boardroom makes nature-related risks, dependencies and opportunities visible in strategic decisions: scientifically curated, spoken by Gaia and oriented toward solutions.

Not a moral voice from the sidelines. A constructive perspective at the table.

The idea

Your most important stakeholder has never been in the room.

Nature already shapes the strategic decisions of companies: through biodiversity loss, resource availability, supply-chain risk, regulatory pressure, investor expectations and new demands from markets and society.

Yet in the rooms where strategies are made, nature usually has no voice of its own. Not because it is irrelevant, but because its knowledge is complex, distributed and hard to grasp in the moment of decision.

Nature in the Boardroom changes this. Gaia, the nature persona of Daphne, brings scientifically curated knowledge into board meetings, strategy workshops and Arbeitsräume: in context, constructive and solution-oriented.

Not a moral voice from the sidelines. A constructive perspective at the table.

Why it matters

Nature-related risks are already strategic risks.

Companies depend on natural systems in many ways: on water, soils, biodiversity, stable ecosystems, climatic conditions and functioning supply chains.

When these systems come under pressure, the result is not only ecological problems. Strategic questions arise: Where are we dependent? Which risks are we overlooking? Which new expectations are forming? Where do regenerative opportunities lie?

Nature in the Boardroom helps leadership teams recognise these questions earlier and bring them into their decisions.

01

See risks earlier

Nature-related risks become visible before they become expensive.

02

Understand dependencies

Companies see where their value creation depends on natural systems.

03

Develop opportunities

Regenerative options, new product ideas and more resilient business models become thinkable.

Treating nature only as a compliance topic overlooks strategic risks, and strategic opportunities.

How it works

Three steps to a voice for nature.

  1. 1

    Curate the knowledge

Leading scientists and experts prepare relevant insights on biodiversity, climate, ecosystems and natural capital.

  2. 2

    Daphne becomes Gaia

As Gaia, Daphne brings this knowledge into the decision room: in context, understandable and in real time.

  3. 3

    Nature speaks, when you ask

Gaia makes risks, dependencies and regenerative opportunities visible. She asks questions, shows alternatives and helps turn complexity into orientation.

Daphne in the role of Gaia, the voice of natureGaia · the voice of nature

Gaia is Daphne in the role of the nature perspective. She draws on curated Knowledge Spaces on biodiversity, climate, ecosystems and natural capital, and brings this knowledge into strategic decision rooms.

Where Gaia takes a seat

For rooms where the future is negotiated.

Gaia is relevant wherever nature-related risks, dependencies and opportunities shape strategic decisions.

  • Board & strategy meetings
  • Sustainability & ESG committees
  • Stakeholder dialogues
  • Scenario workshops
  • Innovation processes
  • Supply-chain assessments
  • Transformation programmes
  • Risk & resilience formats

Gaia does not bring another opinion into the room. It brings a perspective that has often been missing.

From science to decision

The best available science becomes decision-ready.

Nature in the Boardroom builds on curated knowledge from biodiversity research, climate dynamics, ecosystem science, planetary health and sustainability.

This knowledge is prepared so that Gaia can use it in the context of concrete business questions: understandable, traceable and related to relevant decisions.

Every answer should not only inform, but help see risks, dependencies and options more clearly.

Scientifically curated

Insights are reviewed, structured and contextualised by experts.

Contextualised

Gaia relates knowledge to the specific question, industry, region or decision situation.

Traceable

Arguments and pointers should be traceable back to their scientific basis.

The value is not in making knowledge of nature available. It is in making it decision-relevant at the right moment.

What Gaia brings to the table

An additional perspective that changes decisions.

01

Risks, early

Nature-related risks become visible before they become expensive.

02

Dependencies, explicit

Where your business depends on nature, mapped and discussable.

03

Regenerative opportunities

Nature-positive alternatives and new product and market ideas.

04

Sharp questions

Gaia asks what nobody else in the room asks.

05

Constructive, always

No moralising, no blocking: proposals, alternatives, pathways.

06

Credibility, built in

Direct access to curated science: evidence-based strategies, no greenwashing.

Illustrative Gaia intervention

The fact that we are considering a third filtering stage for the factory fumes is highly welcome. Given the decline of insects in the region, it might be even more valuable to offer shelter and nesting sites for the most endangered species. This could even become a new product line for our biomorphic materials.

Tested in the context of global leadership discussions

Gaia in the context of the World Economic Forum in Davos.

In the context of the World Economic Forum in Davos 2026, Gaia was introduced as part of a Nature Lunch. It became visible how nature can be brought into strategic conversations as a voice.

The initiative behind it

Carried by science. Built for decisions.

Nature in the Boardroom is developed by Tetranomics together with the Parmenides Foundation and an interdisciplinary network of leading scientists, AI specialists and sustainability experts.

The goal is clear: to bring the best available science into decision rooms so that leadership teams understand risks, dependencies and opportunities better and act more responsibly.

The best available science should guide the decisions that shape our shared future.

Our interdisciplinary team brings together knowledge of nature, systems thinking, technology and strategic practice.

Trust

What's said in the room stays in the room.

Nature in the Boardroom is used in protected Arbeitsräume. Confidential information, internal questions and sensitive decision contexts are used only for the agreed purpose.

Gaia brings scientifically curated knowledge into the room, without replacing the responsibility of decision-makers.

  • Protected working spaces
  • Purpose-bound use
  • Traceable knowledge base
  • No public use of confidential content
  • Human responsibility stays central

She has always been a stakeholder. Now nature finally has a voice.

Next step

Get nature a seat at your table.

Boards and leadership teams that work with Gaia recognise nature-related risks, dependencies and opportunities earlier, and can develop better strategic options.
